AGROVOICES
The farmer’s market wakes up early. “Ask away, caserita (dear customer) …”

The farmer’s market is divided into sections. “Bitterless olives, bitter olives, orange, caserita, olive oil, the fruit, caserito, ask away…”

The farmer’s market undergoes changes throughout the day. “Food, caserita. Sajta, roasted chicken, ask away, caserita. Empanada, corn pie, caserito. There are pork fry- ups to take away.”

“And so we begin to bid farewell so that tomorrow will be a new day with many sales and many blessings. This concludes our broadcasts.”

Symbol of the wealth and interculturality of Arica, this cherished place is much more than the product on display. The farmer’s market is the space, the actors, the dialogue, and its audience. Music, colors, aromas, stories. The farmer’s market is culture. The farmer’s market is theater.
